We relocate our bees to the north GA Mountains in June and July for the amazing nectar of the Sourwood tree bloom. Sourwood honey is light to medium in color and mild in flavor. It is considered one of the best honeys by many and is produced mainly in the southern Appalachian Mountains. Although, this honey gets its name from the Sourwood Tree… the sweet, eloquent honey is definitely NOT sour. This honey is always found beside the hot teapot at the Bailey’s home.
